How To Choose The Best Skiing Holiday Accommodation

Have you been dreaming of a perfect skiing holiday since ages but just couldn’t find the right moment for it? And now, when you have finally got a chance to materialize your dream, I believe you wouldn’t want anything to go wrong. Accommodation is one of those critical factors that decide how many stars your vacation would get. So, here are some very useful tips on how to choose the best accommodation for your skiing holidays.

  • Count the number of people who are going. If it is just a couple, you can book a hotel, if it is a family, you might prefer a personal apartment but if too many people are going, you might consider booking a chalet. This is the most cost effective plan of accommodation. However, if you really want to take it light with the money-matter and simply concentrate on enjoying the vacation to the fullest you can always get yourself a holiday resort. Remember, whatever you choose, you got to book it in advance.
  • Check the facilities provided by the resorts. If you really want to have a good time, you must be sure the resort you have booked meets all your demands. I believe even if you are on a skiing holiday, you would not like to ski 24 hours. Sometimes you might want to relax and maybe, visit a good pub or a nightclub or simply swim around in your personal pool. So do a proper research on the non-skiing activities provided by the various resorts and then make a decision. If you are carrying a baby, make sure the resort has baby-care facilities.
  • Consider the distance of the skiing piste from your place of accommodation. Make sure you don’t need to travel too much to reach the place you will be skiing; otherwise you will be losing all your energy before starting the sport you have actually planned the entire trip for.

Almoradí and the Tradition of France

Located in the coastal province of Alicante, Almoradí Spain is a small coastal town with a population of approximately 19,000 and an area of approximately 42 km2. The town has an interesting history and has been, at different times, under the rule of different nations; its current name, however, was given to it by its Moorish Rulers and has since remained unchanged. It is fairly central for touring the area and is not too far away from the coast and the tourist resorts such as Torrevieja and Guardamar.

Almoradí is, unlike its many neighboring coastal towns and villages, relatively quieter and more peaceful and has retained much of its Spanish tradition and culture because of this. Herein lies the town’s real charm and it is precisely because of this reason that the town of Almoradí has recently seen a rise in developmental activity as foreign visitors and expatriates looking for locales to experience a traditional Spanish lifestyle find Almoradí to be the ideal settling place.

Even though Almoradí lacks much of the oomph of its neighboring towns, it still has its fair share of sights and experiences. The town offers a fair share of traditional Spanish festivities and allows its visitors to fully immerse themselves in the Spanish culture. One of the more notable cultural events that take place in Almoradí is the ‘Moors and Christians Festival’, the origins of which date back several centuries. There are also some notable heritage and cultural sites in addition to these festivities that add to the town’s cultural value. The Ancient Hospital, the mill of Alfeitamí, the church of San Andrés and the Cortés Theatre are all prime examples of this enduring Spanish heritage and culture.

The town is also a choice destination for many tourists as it enjoys a central location in the comarca of Vega Baja and is linked to most of the prominent tourist spots, towns and attractions that Alicante has to offer. This easy accessibility to coastal Spanish attractions coupled with Almoradí’s own depiction of the traditional Spain truly makes this small town the heart of the Vega Baja of Alicante!
