Personalized Koozie Gift For Your Bestfriend

My best friend celebrated her birthday a few days ago and I really found it hard to decide as to what gift I should give her. She is not a choosy person but of course, I want to give her something unique like Personalized koozies. We’ve been best of friends for almost half of our lives and now she’s turning twenty so definitely I should give her something extraordinary. She works in a contact center so most of the time, she works on a graveyard shift. This made her a coffeeholic so I decided to give her a cool and unique koozie but I realized that it is a bit common.

Suddenly, I came up with the idea of making a personalized Koozies with the caricature of our photo together printed at the surface. I also had our names imprinted at the rear part. During her simple birthday gathering, I presented her my gift along with a message which made both of us emotional. And since we’re best friends, of course I also have my own Koozie with same design from www.getkoozies.com and I’m looking forward to the day that both of us will use the Koozies at the same time to show the people that we are the best of friends!

The Best Coffee Grinder for Espresso

Espresso has always been popular in Europe and most of the rest of the world. America lagged behind until the opening of Starbucks when espresso was made available without having to go through the process yourself. Many people, after sampling espresso at businesses like that have to go out and get the tools to make good espresso themselves. Like any coffee however good espresso starts with good grinding. There are number of different grinders on the market, used for different types of beans, but the best coffee grinder for espresso is the conical burr coffee grinder. The reason for this is the burrs; instead of slicing the beans into progressively smaller pieces it actually crushes the beans. This serves the purpose of extracting all of the natural oils from the bean and getting into the taste of the espresso. Other bean grinders will slice them up and usually leave some pieces. This will not happen with a conical burr coffee grinder.

There are a number of grinders on the market that can legitimately be call the best for espresso and, not surprisingly, all of the companies that make them are in Europe. The Bezzera BB005 is a great example. This Italian grinder can crank out 4 kg an hour and the hopper will hold up to 250 grams. If you are not familiar with the metric system, that is just a bit over one half pound. It has a stainless steel body and enough settings to get your beans as fine as you like them to be. This grinder uses 50mm millstones and they spin at 900 RPM. The great thing about this grinder is that the frame is fairly small so you can fit it into nearly any space.

Conical burr coffee grinders, whether it is the Bezzera or another brand, will make you a professional cup of espresso in just a few minutes and are worth every penny spent if you love good espresso.

Delicious Chinese Meals

The Chinese tend to have a feast when it comes to meals. First, they adorn the table with tasty hors d’oeuvres and then they move on to the cooked dishes. The first four are usually called chiu ts’ai or wine-accompanying dishes, for wine is drunk along with these dishes and between courses. These dishes are usually quick-fried rather than soup dishes, and may be quite dry and crisp and particularly suitable with wine; for example delicious shrimp recipes like shrimp balls, sesame seed sprinkled shrimp on toast, dry-fried eight-piece chicken or paper-wrapped chicken. All are highly savory though others may be more moist; for example, quick fried pepper steak, sliced beef in oyster sauce, quick fried diced chicken in soya jam, sliced fish in wine sauce, Yunnan ham in honey sauce. Yet another alternative would be dishes in which meat is fried along with vegetables such as duck with pineapple, stuffed red and green peppers, stuffed braised mushrooms, beef ribbons quick fried with onions, shredded pork with bean shoots or sliced lamb quick fried with spring onions. Other shrimp recipes include giant shrimp in shells plain fried with garlic and ginger and shrimps quick fried with garden peas.

For elegance and daintiness the wine accompanying dishes are usually presented in small dishes which are no larger than the side dishes used at a western dinner. The diners are mean to savor the food and not wolf it!

After the four light quick fried wine accompanying dishes comes soup followed by four heavy dishes. The soup is intended to provide a breather in the procession of dishes. The heavy dishes called Ta Ts’ai should all be served, as a contrast, in very large bowls called hai wan (sea bowls) which are classified according to size as “middle seas” and “large seas” (or “oceans”). Most of these will be soup type or braised dishes with lots of gravy such as shark’s fin, bird’s nest, sea cucumber, eight treasure duck or steamed chicken, but there may be a roast, a sucking pig, a Peking duck or pot roast lamb, or a fish, which can be a red braised whole fish or a sweet and sour yellow river carp.

How to Choose a Manual Juicer

There are many different types of juicers on sale and it can sometimes be difficult to decide exactly what type you should buy. It is important to take several things into consideration when deciding what would be the most suitable for your situation such as how much you are willing to spend on a juicer, and how much use it will get.

First of all, how much juicing will you be doing? If you are planning on making and drinking juice several times a day you should probably opt for a stronger manual juicer that is easy to handle and that will make juice easily without too much effort on your part. You can find larger metal juicers that either clip onto the counter-top or have a heavy base that will prevent the juicer from slipping when in use. Some use the press method for extracting juice, whereby a lever is pushed down onto the fruit or vegetable, crushing it and releasing the juice. Others are operated by rotating a handle which crushes the fruit against the inner part of the appliance, again forcing the juice from the fruit. read more »

Using Antique Tea Sets to Entertain

When planning your next tea party give thought to the tea sets you have or have access to. Do you have sets that allow you to establish a specific color scheme for the party or do you need to plan a scheme that is not color specific.

Are you going to have an afternoon tea with delicate sandwiches and light desserts or more of a high tea with substantial foods and bolder tea served to your guests? If the high tea is your option then probably mugs and saucers or plates work. But if you are going to do the afternoon tea or “cream tea” then delicate antique tea services are best. Preferably those sets with sugar bowl and creamer that match and sandwich saucers for the “crust off” sandwiches and light desserts are the better choice. Antique china tea sets are an excellent option for serving tea. They show a real sense of class.

It would be difficult to imagine tea tasting nearly as good as it does when sipped from a thin, fragile beautifully decorated cup that demands of the party participants a sense of elegance of self, rarely displayed on other occasions. The decorations and delicate nature of the tea service require a relaxation and a slowing of the passage of time. Through that slowing of time we come to experience an awareness of friendships made more meaningful through a cultural event that dates back to the 1600s or earlier. And frequently we take the time to engage in conversations that we might not otherwise do.

If as hostess/host you have knowledge of the history of the tea service that you are using this is the ideal time to share that with your party participants. Frequently the hostess will provide gifts to her guests and always a lovely tea cup and saucer make a perfect gift. If you are really lucky, your guest will honor you with gifts as well and you can embark on a delightful journey of discovery as you root out the history of your particular piece or pieces so you can share it with them next time it is your turn to provide the party.

As you explore your local flea markets, antique shops and garage sales, keep in mind the patterns and colors you have now that may need to be filled in with additional pieces. Also colors that you might want to pursue for your next party or gifts you may wish to purchase to give to the hostess of the next party you are invited to. And throughout all this, keep in mind that antique tea sets are delicate but ever so elegant. Enjoy.

Living Conditions of Cattle Beef Sold To Applebees

In North America it is incredible how much beef product is produced and consumed. But why shouldn’t it be? Each year 10 billion land animals (also an estimated 10 billion aquatic creatures) are killed for meat products, many of which are cows. This meat is then pretty easy to get from the supermarket and restaurants like Applebees. Even lots of care, feed, and transportation funding is spent on these meats, their not too expensive, especially with things like applebees coupons from Applebees restaurants all across the globe.

Out of that 10 billion, about 35 million are cows grown for beef; this does not include the 9 million raised for milk and the 1 million that are butchered for veal.

Cows being raised for slaughter are typically in an indoor environment. These environments usually consist of what are called tie stalls, where individual cows are tethered in and not permitted to move. Another type of this is the cubicle, or free stall which is simply an area in a barn that is sectioned off but still allows the cow to freely move around.

There are also typically lying spaces for individual cows to rest or sleep, these are sectioned off by bars. The lying areas measure to be about 1.2 m by 2.4 m; these areas may or may not have bedding materials.

Straw yards are similar to lying spaces, but are much bigger. In straw yards there is bedding such as straw or similar materials. Also there is not individual space for cows in these yards.

When individual stalls are compared to open spaces there isn’t really much of a difference in advantages. Space in individual stalls is often cramped and can harm the cows, but this is also true for open spaces since cows are often packed tightly together and there are some physical problems that go along with this.
